Cabbage Soup Miracle Diet

This is a new diet for weight loss originally (surprise surprise) employed by the army before manoeuvres. It’s planned to last 3 days and reduce weight by 2.5kg. I generally run it twice a week for two weeks of every month.

In between diets I try to eat avocados, walnuts and as many veggies as possible. Dieting is very tough.

THE DIET

Day 1

Breakfast

1 slice wholegrain toast

2 tblspns peanut butter

1 cup tea or coffee (no sugar)

 

Lunch

 

½ cup of tuna

1 slice of wholegrain toast

1 cup tea or coffee (no sugar)

 

Dinner

 

4 oz of any meat or protein substitute

1 cup green beans

½ banana

1 small apple

1 cup vanilla ice cream

 

Day 2

Breakfast

1 slice wholegrain toast

½ banana

1 egg (hard boiled or poached)

 

Lunch

 

1 cup cottage cheese

1 hardboiled egg

5 saltine crackers

 

Dinner

 

4 oz of any meat or protein substitute

1 cup broccoli

½ cup carrots

½ banana

1 cup vanilla ice cream

 

Day 3

Breakfast

5 saltine crackers

1 slice cheddar cheese

1 small apple

 

Lunch

 

1 hard boiled egg

1 slice wholegrain toast

 

Dinner

 

1 cup of tuna

½ banana

1 cup vanilla ice cream

I used this diet in the past and it is not as hard going as it looks and sounds. It is pretty much universally known but it is effective with up to 5kgs dropping off in a week. I will use this one week per month, leaving only one week as “normal” eating.

 

THE DIET

Cabbage/carrots/celery/mushrooms/green peppers/chili/garlic

(take every day to fill up)

Fluids

Plenty of water

Tea/coffee unsweetened (1 cup per day)

 

Day 1

Fruit options:

Grapefruit

Apple

Orange

Kiwi

Day 2

Vegetable options:

Cabbage

Lettuce

Sprouts

Celery

Cucumber

Onions

Broccoli

Cauliflower

Baked potato (optional)

Day 3

Mix of Day 1 & Day 2 (fruit & veg)

Day 4

8 bananas

8 glasses of skimmed milk

Day 5

565g beef

6 tomatoes

Minimum 6-8 glasses of water

Day 6

565g beef

Unlimited vegatables

Day 7

Small portion of brown rice

10 glasses sugar free fruit juice
